Interagency Treatment Dashboard

Fuel reduction and forest restoration treatments are happening across California — but without a unified system to track them, agencies, NGOs, and landowners are working from an incomplete picture of what’s been done, where, and what’s planned next. 

CWI supported the development of the Wildfire and Landscape Resilience Interagency Treatment Dashboard — a spatial database and tracking system that compiles completed and planned forest treatments across California into a single, accessible view. Beyond building the infrastructure, CWI helped design strategies to reduce barriers to accurate reporting, ensuring the data that flows into the dashboard is scientifically sound, technically feasible, and actually usable by the wide range of agencies, NGOs, and landowners engaged in treatment work. The Interagency Treatment Dashboard is now maintained by partners and accessible through the California Wildfire & Forest Resilience Task Force.

THE IMPACT: A shared, real-time view of treatment activity across California, so that every agency and organization working on forest resilience can make decisions based on the same ground truth.
